Homeward Bound

As I stand in line waiting to board the flight from Dublin back to the States, it's crazy to think of everything that's happened in the last seven weeks. I spent six weeks with some of the best people I've ever had the privilege to meet and work with doing what I love. I got to watch a story I wrote come to life as some brilliant actors took on the lives of the characters I'd created, and I was able to watch some amazing production people do what they do best. I've climbed to the tops of ancient castles, and wandered through river paths in a forest. I've seen a West End show, and visited the homes of royalty. I couldn't have done any of this without the love and support of my friends and family. Without them, I wouldn't be able to do half of what I do. Thank you to Ball State University and Professor Rich Swingley for granting me this opportunity. Thank you to Sony for lending us the FS7 4K cameras to film with: they were fantastic! Of course, none of it is possible without the Lord's strength. "I can do all things through He who gives me strength." ~ Philippians 4:13. Thank you to everyone who has cheered me on over the years, and I hope the work I do lives up to the trust you place in me. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart. There will be more adventures to come. Until then, this weary traveler is ready to head home...and maybe eat some BDubs 😋. Sit down, strap in, and get ready for take-off.

Where Has The Time Gone?

Six weeks, many long nights, and countless memories. Is it really over? Tomorrow we all go our separate ways until the start of the Fall semester (although we say farewell to our GA, Graeme, as he leaves for Bowling Green to pursue his Doctorate). I'll still be around for another week with the family, as they're coming as part of a surprise graduation gift for my sister. I'm going to miss hanging out, working, and laughing with my friends. Some folks I was already close to before we came. I've made many new friends since then, and I hope those friendships will continue through the school year and beyond (I graduate this year...WHAAAAAT?!?). Irrland was gorgeous, and London has been great, from seeing historic sights to seeing "The Phantom of the Opera" at Her Majesty's Theatre on the West End. I really can't believe it's all drawing to a close. I'm ready to see my family, but I'm sad to be saying goodbye to my friends, regardless of how temporary it may be. This has truly been the experience of a lifetime, and I'm so thankful to everyone who helped to make it possible. Until next time!

Westward ho!

Well, our time in Dublin has come to a close. We leave for Galway on the western coast of Ireland in about ten minutes. It's crazy to think that four-and-a-half weeks have already come and gone, and that production on "Evergreen" is really finished. The time here has been absolutely amazing, and the friendships I've built with my case and crew are ones I hope last a lifetime. There's so much more to see and do before we leave Europe, so keep an eye out for more!

Been a While

It's been a while since I last posted anything. Sorry about that. It's been a little hectic over here. "Evergreen" has now officially wrapped and I've finished with the first full set of rough cuts. Once I'm back in the states, I'll go through with a finer-tooth comb. It's crazy to think that it's been almost four weeks already. I'm posting a bunch of pictures in this blog to try to catch up with everything that's been going on, both on set and just in our excursions. It's been incredible, but it's not over yet!
