Getting to know the city

Today we took a couple of tours to get better acclimated to our surroundings. We got a more in-depth tour of the University College of Dublin campus, but then later got less around Dublin city center. This place is great, and there's so much history! Our tour guide and Dublin contact, Daniel Dwyer, is absolutely fantastic (and incredibly funny, too). We got to go around and visit some of the most iconic locations in Dublin, like Dublin Castle, Trinity College, and the Ha'Penny Bridge, just to name a few. We got to better understand the areas we'll be filming in, and we got to just take in the area. Later, Daniel showed us around town for the better places to eat and drink. We settled on O'Neill's Pub, which had what Daniel called a "carvery" (think a smaller version of MCL in a pub). After we finished eating, Daniel joined us for a couple of pints. It was a great time. I'm looking forward to getting to work on "Evergreen" starting on Monday, and also getting to better explore Dublin and the surrounding area. We're doing location scouting and finalization in the morning, so it's going to be a long day. Until, then!
